 H&M focuses on climate-smart deliveries

H&M is continuing its focus on climate-smart delivery options with customers in the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy and France able to opt to receive and return items using a bicycle delivery service. Evri invests £1 million in new Plymouth site

Evri is opening a new depot in Plymouth which will create more than 50 new jobs. The new site will open in July 2022 on the Parkway Industrial estate and at 60,000 sq ft is almost double the size of the existing depot nearby which has been managed by a (more…)

ASOS blames high returns rates on inflationary pressures on consumers

WHSmith to launch first instore locker network with InPost

WHSmith is to become the first retailer to launch a network of lockers within its stores in partnership with InPost. Traditionally InPost lockers are found in outside locations such as petrol forecourts, shopping centres and supermarkets like Tesco. Doddle launches self-service kiosks to enable returns in less than a minute

Doddle has launched a range of self-service kiosks that it says offer automated package-less, label-free self-service returns in less than a minute. Amazon reveals first customers to receive Prime Air drone deliveries

Amazon has revealed that customers in Lockeford, California, will be among the first to receive Prime Air drone deliveries in the US. DHL introduces 20 bi-LNG trucks into M&S fleet

DHL has introduced 20 bio-LNG trucks into its M&S fleet which will replace existing diesel trucks and deliver up to 80% reduction in carbon emissions when fuelled with bio-LNG and 10-20% with fossil gas. It’s estimated that by using bio-LNG, carbon emissions in the M&S fleet will be reduced by 2,200 (more…)

60% of UK consumers now order their groceries online, new study finds

Royal Mail pledges to be net zero by 2040 and sets new emissions target for parcels

Asda expands Uber Eats partnership with nearly 100 additional stores

Ofcom has launched an investigation into Royal Mail’s failure to meet its delivery targets during 2021-22. The company fell behind on targets set by Ofcom to deliver 93% of First Class mail within one working day of collection and 98.5% of Second Class mail within three working days of collection.
