Consumers frustrated by slow supply chains

Consumers are increasingly frustrated by slow supply chains and late deliveries, according to a new report from Wunderman Thompson Commerce.

Its research found that nearly half (45%) admit to getting angry about low stock levels.

This was even worse during peak periods such as Black Friday, where 45% say their online orders took too long to arrive and 63% have been left frustrated that their products did not arrive in the time quoted.

Overall, it found that nearly a third (32%) of shoppers feel that parcels are not being delivered quickly enough.

Daniel Hulme, CEO, Satalia and chief AI officer at WPP, said: “Logistics is under threat from multiple directions; driver shortages, soaring fuel prices, vehicle and part supply scarcity, as well as increasing pressure to reduce carbon impact, are all increasing the pressure on business owners.”
