DPD UK has promoted Elaine Kerr to the position of CEO. She will take over the role from 1 June 2021, reporting to Yves Delmas, chief operating officer DPDgroup Europe.
Kerr has spent nearly 30 years at DPD, first joining as a sales executive based in the northwest. She was promoted to the DPD UK senior management team in 2008 as director of CRM and last year became executive director, sales, CRM and customer services.
Kerr’s appointment to CEO comes after the company’s former boss Dwain McDonald left the company with immediate effect in March. His departure was confirmed at the time to be the result of an internal investigation. Delmas took over as interim CEO after McDonald’s departure.
Delmas said Kerr would now lead the business to a new chapter. “Elaine has had a tremendous career with DPD and has been instrumental in growing our customer portfolio to include some of the most prestigious brands and securing our continued growth, both domestically and internationally. Elaine will now continue this success story in the role of CEO.”Image credits:
