ASOS has announced it will open a new fulfilment centre in the West Midlands area of England.
The £90 million investment will fund a 437,000 square foot site at Fradley Park, Staffordshire. It is located on the A38, offering good road and airport links.
Completed in 12 months and reaching peak trading capacity in 2023, the site will employ 2000 people over the next three years.
Nick Beighton, CEO of ASOS, said: “We’re thrilled to be laying down the foundations for our future growth in Lichfield. This significant investment in infrastructure and large-scale job creation is a reflection of the confidence ASOS has in its future and the quality of the skills and talent available in this well-placed location.
“When fully up and running in 2023, the site will support our ever-increasing customer demand and enable us to develop our offerings and delivery capabilities even further.”
The Lichfield site will be one of ASOS’s four global fulfilment centres, with the other three located in Barnsley, Berlin and Atlanta.
