JD Sports brand taps Doddle click and collect tech in Netherlands

A Netherlands-based JD Sports subsidiary will offer the paperless Doddle click and collect service in over a quarter of its stores through a new partnership.

SUR will offer the digital solution for its retail brands Perry and Aktiesport. It will be available across 26 stores, allowing customers shopping on the web portals of the two companies to collect their online orders in stores.

The solution will offer automated and personalised order confirmations, collection and reminder emails to customers. The solution also helps employees find packages more quickly using QR codes or unique collection codes.

The solution can offer customers personalised promotions in their collection emails that they can use when they collect the package from the store.

The system runs on Zebra TC51 hand terminals, meaning it does not require any additional hardware to be installed.

In the future the technology will be extended to the 73 remaining Perry and Aktiesport stores in the country.

“We can now quickly and easily roll out a leading click and collect experience from which we are sure it will improve service levels and boost sales.”
