Online florist Bloom & Wild has launched a same day delivery service across London working with On the dot.
The move comes ahead of longer term plans to launch a same day delivery service across other UK and European cities. The retailer chose On the dot after a five vendor comparison.
The VC-backed mobile and online florist operates across the UK, Ireland, Germany and France and aims to make ordering design-led flowers online as simple as sending a text message. The brand originally launched in 2013.
The roll-out of the service took three weeks to complete with On the dot’s technology integrated directly into Bloom & Wild’s website. Customers are able to choose a same day two-hour delivery timeslot London-wide, five days per week.
“Online shoppers today expect their orders to be delivered quickly and with exceptional service. If you fail to get this right, consumers, with a wealth of choice at their fingertips, will simply go elsewhere,” said Josh Roberts, head of expansion at Bloom & Wild.
