Yodel commercial director joins last mile specialist PostTag

Yodel’s former director of commercial development Patrick McGuirk is joining emerging technology specialist PostTag as commercial director, tasked with identifying new partnerships and customers.


The technology company supplies a navigation system that tags three digits on the end of a postcode – increasing accuracy to get drivers to the precise front door through either the smartphone app or by integrating PostTag’s API into current platforms. PostTag claims that its technology can drive delivery efficiency of up to 30% over existing solutions for partners.


The technology is integrated into customers’ existing platforms and uses seven different data sources to triangulate the information into a unique API. The technology is already in advanced pilots with a number of the UK’s largest delivery companies and retailers according to PostTag which as well as fully launching in the UK this year is also looking to launch in France, Spain, Italy, the UAE, the USA, Australia and Malaysia.
