Waitrose announced expansion plans that include the creation of 2,000 new jobs. At the heart of it all is a new e-grocery depot in south London that will employ 450 people.

Elsewhere, DPD and Parcelforce are readying new services.

The former is opening a network of parcel shops across the UK, while the latter is debuting a service aimed at giving smaller etailers access to more flexible and sophisticated delivery options.
